3–6 month commitment · Remote · Resume-building
Neon Reverie is a grassroots, co-created EDM collective built by people who care deeply about rave culture, community, and keeping the PLURR values alive in our scene.
We exist to create transformative, welcoming spaces for the parts of raving that often only live at home, the underground, or camping festivals:
enjoying music in a cozy, laid-back environment
flow arts
live painting & performers
arts & crafts
restorative care like yoga, pilates, breathwork, guided stretching, meditation
moving between stimulating environments and ones with reprieve
shared moments that feel like you and those around you are experiencing something special collectively, even if you never say a word to each other
delightful surprises and side-quests
random deep or whimsical conversations (and the volume/space to have them)
experiencing a state of curiosity and play without judgment or logistical concerns
Our events are designed for both lifelong ravers and the rave-curious, with an emphasis on intentional experience design.
As Neon Reverie grows into multi-room, activation-rich events, we’re reaching a point where this work can’t (and shouldn’t!) be carried by only the founder and her hard-working besties anymore. :)
That's why we’re inviting a small number of dedicated virtual volunteers to help us build the behind-the-scenes infrastructure that makes these experiences possible.
Commitment & Structure
We’re asking for volunteers who can commit to:
3–6 months
~4 hours per week minimum
Flexible, self-scheduled time
Self-tracked contributions
Each week, volunteers will submit a short check-in survey outlining:
What actions were taken
What felt clear vs. unclear
What support or adjustments might help
A Note on Visibility & Brand Ambassadorship
Because Neon Reverie grows through community and word-of-mouth, we’re prioritizing volunteers who have an active presence on Instagram and feel comfortable acting as a light brand ambassador for the project.
This means:
Being open to your name and social handle being listed on our Team page
Occasionally posting about Neon Reverie or sharing updates
Participating in collaborative posts or reposts when relevant
You don't need to “be an influencer" or have thousands of followers. We simply want to help the community recognize the real humans behind the scenes. Celebrating our team publicly and making it easy for others to find and trust in what we’re building.
If you’re excited about sharing Neon Reverie with your corner of the internet, that's exactly the energy we're looking for!
Weekly Touchpoint
To stay connected and aligned, we’ll host:
One group check-in call per week
Maximum 1 hour
Day/time determined by group availability
These calls are for:
Updates and clarity
Questions and support
Sharing wins
Adjusting plans together
Why We’re Asking for This Level of Commitment
In the music and events world, volunteering is one of the fastest and most common bridges into meaningful opportunities. It’s how people build experience, trust, and real relationships.
Like many before us, we have observed that people running events are often trying to understand: is this person genuinely invested in the scene, or is this a short-term phase? Because this work is complex, time-intensive, and can even be emotionally demanding.
As one of my old musical theater directors used to say (and it rings true here): “The work is too hard to do if you don’t love it.”
What You’ll Gain
Resume-building titles and responsibilities
Hands-on experience in the EDM/events ecosystem
Exposure to how grassroots communities are actually built
Relationship-building with artists, organizers, and partners
Insight into community-centered, values-driven event production
Most of all, you'll be helping to protect and pass on the parts of rave culture that matter most.
Who This Is a Good Fit For
This opportunity is well-suited for people who:
See themselves working in music, events, or creative communities
Care about rave culture beyond just attending shows
Want meaningful, practical experience
Value collaboration over clout
This may not be the right fit if you’re:
Looking for something ultra-casual or drop-in
Unable to commit time consistently
Only interested in the most visible or glamorous parts of events
We Hope You'll Join Us!
